Adaptive Recreation for Community Integration

This group is designed for any and all individuals who have sustained a neurological injury or are living with a neurological condition (Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury, Traumatic Brain Injury, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, Polio, etc). The focus of this group is to encourage participation in community based activities that may now need either adaptation or assistance to perform. Life continues after injury or diagnosis and we want to ensure that you live it to the fullest.

This group meets 1-2 times a month and has done activities including fishing, bowling, BBQ picnic with yard games, movies, live music downtown, target shooting, pumpkin carving contests, ice cream socials and so much more. We have also done QA sessions with local professionals in the area to discuss resources available to assist you and your needs. Friends, family, and caregivers are all welcome to join and participate in these events.

If you would like more information regarding this group or would like to be added to the mailing list, please contact Emily.
